Leong Horn Kee
Dr Leong is the chairman/co-founder of CapitalCorp Ventures (previously CapitalCorp Partners). He was Singapore’s non-resident Ambassador to Mexico, and currently Singapore’s non-resident High Commissioner/Ambassador to Cyprus and Argentina; as well as independent chairman/director of several listed companies including SPH Reit, SAC Capital and Hong Kong-listed IGG Games.
From 1994 to 2008, Dr Leong was an executive director/COO of Far East Organization, CEO of Orchard Parade Holdings and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng. From 1984 to 1993, he worked in venture capital investments at Natsteel and Transtech Ventures and investment banking at Rothschilds. From 1977 to 1983, he was a deputy director at the Ministries of Finance and Trade & Industry. Dr Leong was a Member of Parliament for 22 years from 1984 to 2006.
In 2008, he founded CapitalCorp as a private equity and corporate finance advisory firm and has been deeply involved in many early-stage companies as founder, advisor and angel investor.
Dr Leong holds Bachelor degrees in Production Engineering, Economics, and Chinese Language; MBA from INSEAD; and Master and Doctorate degrees from the University of Western Australia (UWA).
Alvin has 15 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets and entrepreneurship, with a passion for technology and its possibilities.
As a partner/COO of 3dsense Media School since 2012, the school has grown to become recognized as the top college for digital media in Asia, ranked Top 10 alongside universities from around the world consistently for the past 5 years. In his earlier career, he worked in debt capital markets origination & institutional sales at Barclays Capital and OCBC Bank respectively, broadening his experience with CapitalCorp, where he focuses on venture capital and corporate finance.
Since 2006, Alvin has been a keen investor in the tech space, finding early success in public equities before making notable seed investments in fintech from 2017. He has also developed successful sentiment-based trading strategies in the FX and commodities markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University College London, and an MBA from INSEAD.
Leonard is currently a Partner at Bamboo Sea, focusing on advising fintech and technology start-ups. He spent most of his career in corporate finance and business consulting. As Managing Partner of CapitalCorp Partners, a corporate finance firm, he has advised many tech companies, spanning from breakthroughs in solar energy and photonics, to a global multimedia streaming app, providing capital raising and strategic M&A advisory consulting. Currently, he is also spearheading a joint-initiative to promote family office services and advisory with Bamboo Sea.
Previously he worked as a commercial banker at United Overseas Bank, Singapore, where he managed over 70 corporate accounts in the petrochemical, pharmaceuticals and healthcare industry, gaining an understanding of various types of corporate credit and financing.
Leonard holds an MBA (with Merit) from Imperial College London, UK, and Second Class (Upper) honours for LLB in Law from the University of London and Bachelor in Accountancy from Nanyang Business School, Singapore.
